Barr. Chisorom U. Okwuosa is a retired US-trained lawyer with a distinguished career spanning 34 years of legal practice in Alabama and California. Her remarkable journey includes serving as a Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery County and as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Alabama State University.

In California, she held prominent roles, including Senior Counsel for the State of California and Chief Counsel for a major state department, where she oversaw $500 million in annual contracts and managed a team of over 50 attorneys. Appointed twice by Governor Jerry Brown and later by Governor Gavin Newsom, Barrister Okwuosa demonstrated unparalleled expertise and leadership until her retirement in 2021.

Beyond her professional achievements, Barrister Okwuosa co-directed a non-profit organization for at-risk children for over 15 years and continues to serve as Legal Counsel for several charitable organizations. Her dedication to advancing the welfare of the less privileged has taken her on over 30 medical and educational charity missions in Africa since 2012.

As Co-Director of the Africa Diaspora Health Foundation (ADHF) and Signa Health Foundation, she is deeply committed to making quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all Africans. A passionate advocate for the underserved, Barrister Chisorom Okwuosa is an unwavering force for good.

She is married to her lifelong partner, Ichie Emmanuel Okwuosa, and they are proud parents of three adult children. Together, the Okwuosas continue to inspire hope and transform lives across Africa.
